Die Javelin hat ja keinen schlechten Ruf, aber findet ihr den Preis nicht auch ziemlich hoch ?
135 Millionen für 1000 Raketen, 100 Starter und den ganzen Support kram....

Finde das irgendwie ziemlich unverschämt...

Wieso sollte der Preis zu hoch sein? Verglichen mit dem Preis eines Panzers, seiner Ersatzteile und des Zubehörs sowie der Ausbildung der Besatzungen ist das doch pro Stück gesehen ein Schnäppchen

wenn man das so betrachtet :daumen: ist es wirklich ein schnäppchen ...
ich find den preis auch ziemlich ok ...

aber ich denke ein panzer wäre sinnvoller als soviel geld für Panzerabwehrflugkörper zu investieren ...

Indian Army and DRDO successfully test-fire indigenous ATGMs

The laser-guided missiles destroyed targets at two different ranges with precision.

The Indian Army and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) have successfully tested all-indigenous, laser-guided, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). The ATGMs were fired from the Arjun Main Battle Tank (MBT) at KK Ranges with the support of the Armoured Corps Centre & School (ACC&S), Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India.

In a statement, the Indian Ministry of Defence said the missiles hit the targets at two different ranges with precision and successfully destroyed them. [...] The ATGM uses a tandem, high explosive, anti-tank warhead to hit explosive reactive armour (ERA) protected armoured vehicles.

The weapon system is equipped with a multi-platform launch capability. At present, the ATGM is undergoing technical evaluation trials from the 120mm rifled gun of the Arjun MBT.

Pentagon to spend up to $ 7.2 billion on combat-proven Javelin anti-tank missiles

The U.S. military plans to buy up to $7.2 billion worth of Javelin missiles for the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and international customers over the next three years, under a contract announced Thursday.

The deal with Javelin Joint Venture — composed of Lockheed Martin of Orlando, Fla., and Raytheon Technologies of Tucson, Ariz. — is for an unspecified number of missile systems from fiscal years 2023 through 2026, according to an Army news release.

Parting shot: Nag anti-tank guided missile

India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) recently confirmed to Janes that the Nag anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), the development of which was started in the 1980s, has cleared all the flight and user trials required for induction into the Indian Army. The DRDO is currently awaiting an order from the Indian Army for the missile, a DRDO official said.

The Nag ATGM was developed by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and the DRDO's Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) to meet an Indian Army requirement for a vehicle- and air-launched ATGM with a maximum range of 4 km. [...] For targeting, the Nag missile employs a passive mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) focal plane-array imaging infrared (IIR)/longwave IR (LWIR) seeker. The missile uses a lock-on before launch (LOBL) mode; however, it is designed with stretch potential for lock-on after launch (LOAL) capability, according to the DRDO.

China inducts new anti-tank guided weapon system

China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) has inducted a new anti-tank guided weapon (ATGW) system developed by China North Industries Group Corporation Limited (Norinco) known as TS-01.

According to footage released by state-owned China Central Television (CCTV), the 78th Group Army of the PLA's Northern Theater Command inducted an unknown number of TS-01 ATGW systems. [...]

According to the company specifications, the TS-01 is a shoulder-fired infrared imagery guidance multi-purpose weapon system. It can be used both individually and in groups. The TS-01 is a third-generation fire-and-forget ATGW system. The system features uncooled infrared imaging guidance, lock-on before launch, and automatic target tracking following launch, Norinco said. The TS-01 weapon system comprises a missile-in-container, an observation-aiming and launch control device, and supporting equipment, Norinco added.
