She entered the 300,000 ton dry dock the day before yesterday, just like rumors said. The funny thing is, if she's gonna become a theme park, there should be news reports all over the place, just like when Minsk went into for repair. But so far we haven't heard anything, the only news is that the Guizhou FT2000 trainer has being added carrier-landing capability. Pretty sure Varyag is the one.

China has started to train carrier commanders(note the pilot turn to captian class at the Dalian Warship College) and naval aviators since the early 1990s, a carrier runway mockup was built near Qingdao.
PLAN's carrier started in the 80s but later delayed due to west sanction as well as giving up priority to economic development.
I'm sure PLAN pilots will train with the Russians, because after all the Varyag-Su33 combo is the same with the Russian Navy. And most importantly, Varyag is suppose to be a training carrier itself for the PLAN, so we'll see a lot more training aircrafts on it, such as FT2000 and L15, both are designed to land on a carrier.
