<Kanwa News July 30th 2003> Taiwanese Air Force has started to discuss the possibility of participating in the JSF development project. The latest news from Taiwan claims that the US and Taiwan are currently discussing the feasibility of this project, and formal discussions on this issue is expected to start within this year.
The current problem is still the budget. The Taiwanese Ministry of Defense seems to have no keen interest in participating in the project solely as a "partner", and there is high possibility that Taiwan will be involved in project as the "Security Cooperation Participant". <Kanwa Digest news>
