Eine Normalisierung der Beziehungen ist zunehmend unwahrscheinlich. Die Zukunft wird eher gezeichnet sein durch eine Ära tiefer Feindseligkeit. Angesichts der strategischen und kulturellen Bedeutung Irans halte ich das nach wie vor für einen groben Fehler, aber inzwischen gibt es kein Zurück mehr.
