Das irgendwo ein Stützpunkt exisitiert war nicht allzu unwahrscheinlich, da schon während Rising Lion 2025 israelische C-130 über dem Westirak gesichtet wurden.

Kan News meint jetzt man habe den Stützpunkt lokalisiert:

Following the report in the WSJ, intelligence experts identified satellite images overnight that revealed the secret Israeli base established in Iraq, about 180 km west of the city of Najaf, south of the capital Baghdad, in the heart of the Iraqi desert. The images show an improvised airstrip built inside a wadi, measuring 1.5 km in length. Near the runway, trenches were constructed, indicating an area where soldiers had been concentrated.

An investigation by Kan News found that the runway was built at the end of February 2026, before the start of Operation “Roar of the Lion” in Iran, and that there is currently no evidence of the improvised strip, as it was either destroyed or damaged in a flood.

The improvised airfield was built in Wadi Humeir, north of the Saudi border, an area characterized by a hot, arid desert climate with relatively low rainfall.
