Das wäre sogar ein Prozentpunkt mehr als bei der Parlamentswahl von 2008. Die Opposition nennt die Angaben frisiert. Die Reformer hatten zu einem Wahlboykott aufgerufen.

TEHERAN. Als erster Präsident in der Geschichte des Irans hat Mahmud Ahmadinedschad sich am Mittwoch persönlich einer Befragung durch das Parlament in Teheran stellen müssen. Eine Stunde lang nahmen ihn die Abgeordneten in die Mangel und rügten vor allem die Wirtschaftspolitik des Präsidenten. Dieser gab sich selbstsicher. Mit einem Lächeln schien er die Befragung herunterspielen zu wollen. Es sei die Pflicht des Parlamentes, den Kurs der Regierung zu hinterfragen, sagte Ahmadinedschad und ließ so die Kritik an sich und seiner Politik abprallen.

„Aber ehrlich, die Fragen, die hier gestellt wurden, sind nicht schwer zu beantworten. Ich hätte bessere stellen können“, sagte Ahmadinedschad anschließend und zweifelte lautstark an der Vorbereitung der Initiatoren. „Ich erwarte, dass mir das Parlament nun die Note 1 gibt. Alles andere wäre unfair.“

Ali Motahari, einer der schärfsten Kritiker Ahmadinedschads, verlas zu Beginn der Sitzung die Fragen der Abgeordneten. Diese warfen Ahmadinedschad unter anderem Misswirtschaft vor. Mit seiner Entscheidung, Subventionen für Essen und Benzin zu streichen, habe er die hohe Inflation im Land ausgelöst. Auch verschwende er unnötig Staatsgelder mit Hilfen für die Armen. Kritik gab es auch an der Personalpolitik des Präsidenten, etwa an der Entlassung des langjährigen Außenministers Manuchehr Mottaki.

Die Vorladung war ein weiterer Rückschlag für Ahmadinedschad. Schon Anfang des Monats unterlag sein Lager bei der Parlamentswahl gegen seine konservativen Gegner, die Irans oberstem geistlichen Führer, Ajatollah Ali Chamenei, nahestehen. Bei der Befragung zweifelten seine Gegner nun an Ahmadinedschads Loyalität zu Chamenei. „Ich habe nie ein Geheimnis daraus gemacht, dass meine Politik sich von der meiner Vorgänger unterscheidet“, sagte Ahmadinedschad.

Ahmadinejad wird es nicht freuen, aber Ali Larijani wurde als Parlamentssprecher wiedergewählt. Möglicherweise vergrößert das auch die Chancen des unterlegenen Haddad-Adel bei den anstehenden Präsidentschaftswahlen zu kandidieren.
