Earlier, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, the chief of staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, met with General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, chief of the Turkish General Staff, who is currently on a multi-day official visit to Egypt. The two chiefs of staff also co-chaired the closing session of the fifth Egyptian-Turkish Military Cooperation Committee and signed the committee's final protocol, which includes a number of activities aimed at supporting military cooperation and promoting the transfer and exchange of expertise between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces. Khalifa reaffirmed the depth of the partnership and bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of Egypt and Türkiye, stressing the importance of coordinating efforts and expanding military cooperation in a way that serves the shared interests of the two friendly countries.
