The MPT-76 rifle, produced by MKE, was seen in the inventory of the Peruvian Special Forces. Previously, the MPT-76 MH model was showcased at an exhibition hosted by the Peruvian Special Forces Command. Displayed at the closing ceremony of the Special Forces Command’s training year on November 7, 2025, it was stated that the rifle in question is actively used by the sniper school.

Developed by Turkish engineers, the MPT-76 entered mass production in 2016. While deliveries were ongoing, efforts to ensure the more effective use of the equipment continued based on feedback received directly from the field. In this context, the qualification of the lightened National Infantry Rifle, the MPT-76 MH, designed by MKE, was successfully completed in 2021. Through these engineering efforts, the rifle’s weight was reduced by over 400 grams, bringing its total weight down to approximately 3.75 kilograms.

Pakistani Air Force Teases KORKUT and ŞAHİN Acquisition TurDef
PAF released a promotional video showing its up-to-date equipment and capabilities, featuring ASELSAN's KORKUT 150/35 SPAAG and ŞAHİN 130/40GL C-UAS system.

Pakistani Air Force signalled the acquisition of the KORKUT 150/35 SPAAG and ŞAHİN 130/40GL C-UAS system from Türkiye in a recent promotional video on its YouTube channel.

The video did not explicitly state whether the air defence systems have been introduced into service. However, due to its context, it is understood that at least an acquisition is on the way.

KORKUT 150/35 is the baseline variant of the KORKUT family, using FNSS's ACV AD chassis. The SPAAG, with twin 35 mm autocannons with a 1100 RPM combined fire rate, can fire the ATOM 35 ABM airburst round to effectively engage missiles and UAVs KORKUT is also available in the KORKUT 140/35 configuration, standing for 8x8 AFV integration.

ASELSAN [BIST:ASELS] is working on the KORKUT 240/250 series variant that might incorporate an upgraded sensor suite similar to the configuration shown during IDEF2025.

ŞAHİN 130/40GL, like KORKUT, utilises airburst ammunition. However, it uses the ATOM 40 ABM pre-fragmented airburst ammunition for automatic grenade launchers. As a towed system using 40 mm airburst grenades, ŞAHİN 130/40GL is suited for point-blank defence. Recently, ASELSAN unveiled ŞAHİN DUAL with a 12.7 mm machine gun firing pellet ammunition, as well as the highly compact ŞAHİN LITE based on SARP-L RCS as alternative variants.
