ASELSAN unveiled the electronic warfare and laser-guided variants of the TOLUN SDB as TOLUN-EW and TOLUN-L during SAHA EXPO 2026 to expand the options.

ASELSAN [BIST:ASELS] is expanding its TOLUN small-diameter bomb (SDB) family with two new variants: TOLUN-L laser-guided SDB and TOLUN-EW gliding electronic warfare effector.

MAM-T with Tandem Penetrating Warhead Hits Hardened Target TurDef
MAM-T glide munition fitted with a tandem penetrating warhead, dropped by AKINCI UCAV alongside TEBER-82 variants, successfully hit the hardened target.

ROKETSAN’s MAM-T glide munition in tandem penetrating warhead variant, using a shaped charge to penetrate hardened structures, successfully hit the hardened target as a display of its anti-structure capability.

The first test of MAM-T’s alternative warhead from AKINCI, also featuring TEBER-82 variants (Stubby wings and baseline), will allow the UCAV to engage hardened structures like hangars or small bunkers.

ATMACA-UM in NATO’s Land-Based Cruise Missile Initiative TurDef
ROKETSAN’s ATMACA-UM land attack cruise missile has been added to NATO’s new initiative for wide-scale production and procurement of land-based cruise missiles.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska announced the Ground-Based Precision Strike initiative for low-cost land-based cruise missiles in NATO during the summit being held in Ankara, consisting of six countries. Shekerinska stated that Türkiye is committed to the procurement of the ATMACA-UM LACM in significant numbers.

It is understood that this initiative will function as a consortium to facilitate the development, production, and acquisition of land-based cruise missiles to expand the arsenal of NATO countries.

With this, a path has been paved for ATMACA-UM to join the NATO members’ arsenal as a land-based cruise missile, alongside support for production and procurement.

SOM-B1T with indigenous engine enters Air Force inventory
The Turkish Ministry of Defence announced that acceptance activities for an unspecified number of SOM-B1T cruise missiles will be carried out at ROKETSAN between 13 and 17 July before delivery to the Turkish Air Force.

The acceptance process will mark the first entry into inventory of the SOM-B1T configuration powered by the indigenous KTJ-3200 turbojet engine.

Developed by TÜBİTAK SAGE and ROKETSAN, the SOM-B1 is part of Türkiye’s indigenous air-launched cruise missile family designed to engage high-value land targets. The B1 variant is equipped with an Imaging Infrared (IIR) seeker that enables terminal target recognition and automatic target detection for precision strikes.

TOLUN-P Salvo from AKINCI Hits Targets Under Intense Jamming TurDef
A Pair of ASELSAN TOLUN-P penetrating SDBs consecutively dropped from Baykar’s AKINCI UCAV successfully hit the target under intense jamming conditions.

TOLUN-P fitted with KARETTA anti-jam GNSS receiver demonstrated its jamming resistance during a test involving a salvo drop by AKINCI UCAV. The two TOLUN-P SDBs in the presence of seven jammers successfully hit the target.

AKINCI UCAV can use the TOLUN series of SDBs from the SADAK-4T quad rack and individual hardpoints.

TOLUN family includes the penetrating TOLUN-P, HE-FRAG TOLUN-F, laser-guided TOLUN-L, IIR seeker TOLUN-IIR, and the unique TOLUN-EW fitted with an onboard electronic warfare system as well as a flight control software enabling loitering glide.

TOLUN-P – Türkei testet Bunkerbrecher

Präzise durch Stahlbeton – das soll die türkische Gleitbombe TOLUN-P bis zu einem Meter schaffen. In einem heute durch Hersteller Aselsan veröffentlichten Video sieht man zudem den erfolgreichen Abwurf von einer Akıncı-Drohne von Baykar Technologies. Wie viel Beton im Test durchdrungen werden konnte, zeigt das Video unten.

Ein Mehrzweckkampfjet des Typs F-16 Fighting Falcon der türkischen Luftstreitkräfte klinkt im Flug die TOLUN-P aus.
Mit TOLUN bietet das türkische Systemhaus Aselsan eine ganze Familie an GNSS/INS-gelenkten Gleitbomben an. Die jetzt im Test gezeigte Basisversion TOLUN-P ist eine satelliten- und trägheitsgeführte Gleitbombe für die Bekämpfung gehärteter Ziele. Sie wird über den sogenannten Smart Pneumatic Quad Rack (SADAK-4T) von Trägerflugzeugen abgeworfen, kann aber durch eine abweichende Montageschnittstelle auch als Einzelversion unter der Bezeichnung TOLUN-SI eingesetzt werden.

Das von Aselsan entwickelte Mehrfach-Trägersystem SADAK-4T ermöglicht es Kampfflugzeugen pro externer Waffenstation vier Gleitbomben mitzuführen. Auch das Design der TOLUN ist darauf ausgelegt, möglichst viele der präzisionsgelenkten Bomben pro Flugzeug mitführen zu können.
