The Iranian 29th “Fleet” (task group) with frigate SABALAN and replenishment ship KHARG has “rounded the Cape of Good Hope, proceeding into the South Atlantic” … according to an Iranian admiral the ships “in response to increase US Navy presence in the Persian Gulf are heading for US maritime borders”.

Der Iran baut eine genaue Kopie des US-Flugzeugträgers USS Nimitz (CVN-68), meldet der Fernsehsender CNN. Der US-Aufklärungsdienst konnte Satellitenbilder vom Bau des Schiffs bekommen. Washington glaubt nicht daran, dass der Iran ein betriebsfähiges Schiff dieser Klasse bauen kann. Aus diesem Grund rätselt das US-Militär auch über den Sinn der Aktion, denn für den Einsatz sei das "Kriegsschiff" wohl untauglich.

Bei Radio „Stimme Russlands" heißt es dazu weiter: "Die US-Armee hat auf Satellitenbildern von iranischen Militäranlagen einen amerikanischen Flugzeugträger entdeckt. Oder zumindest etwas, was dem ziemlich ähnlich sieht.

Das Teil ist über zweihundert Meter lang, wird unter freiem Himmel in einer Werftanlage in Bandar Abbas montiert. Es geht um eine iranisch-amerikanisch-kanadische Filmproduktion, die seit 4 Jahren geplant ist. Produzent ist unter anderem Sean Stone, der Sohn von Oliver Stone und Drehort ist u.a. die USA. Was soll also diese Propaganda schon wieder?

Wenn Iran einen offiziell unterstützten Film drehen wollte, da würde kein ernstzunehmender kanadischer Produzent mitwirken???

Recent glimpses from open source imagery acquired by DigitalGlobe have confirmed that Iran began construction on the fifth Moudge Class vessel at Bander Abbas, home of the IRIN’s First Naval Region. Utilizing a modular shipbuilding approach, the vessel is shown in four sections above near Iran’s recently emptied dry dock. (Cranes are located on tracks nearby to load the modules into the dry dock for assembly).

Navy's 29th Flotilla Berths in Djibouti Port

TEHRAN (FNA)- The 29th Flotilla of the Iranian Navy which has been dispatched to the Atlantic Ocean berthed at Djibouti port in Africa on Monday.

The Iranian warships plan to stay in Djibouti port for three days after 73 days of journey in the high seas.

The flotilla, which is the first dispatched to the Atlantic Ocean, but the 29th one dispatched to the international waters, consists of Khark logistic and helicopter-carrier warships and Sabalan destroyer. The warships should sail 25,000 nautical kilometers in their three-month-long mission.

Eine Liste der teilnehmenden Einheiten konnte ich nirgends finden. Ich erkenne aber auf dem Bildmaterial auf iranischer Seite die Raketenschnellboote Kanjar und Neyzeh und auf pakistanischer Seite den Seeversorger Rasadgar, ein Raketenschnellboot der Jurrat Klasse und ein U-Boot der Hashmat oder Khalid Klasse.

Iran Changes Mission of Atlantic Ocean Flotilla

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Navy changed the mission of its 29th flotilla of warships and called it back home before the naval group could start its voyage in the Atlantic Ocean, the Navy commander said Sunday, adding that the country now plans to send another fleet to the Atlantic Ocean.

"The Navy's 30th flotilla of warships which will be dispatched in the future will be comprised of the Islamic Republic's Alvand destroyer, Bushehr logistic warship and a helicopter," Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari told FNA on Sunday.

His remarks came after reports said that the mission of Iran's 29th flotilla of warships has changed and it won't be sent to the Atlantic Ocean.

Iran to Build New Sub for Caspian Fleet by 2015

MOSCOW, May 19 (RIA Novosti) – Iran expects to complete construction of a new submarine for its Caspian fleet by the second quarter of next year, the News.Az outlet reported Monday.

According to the news agency, the 50-meter-long submarine is being built in collaboration with a Chinese company at the Anzali shipyard. There were no details about the boat’s weapons systems.

Iranian Warships Rescue Oil Tanker in Red Sea

An Iranian oil tanker came under attack by eight pirate boats, but the vessel was rescued due to the timely action of the Iranian Navy warships, the Navy's Public Relations Office reported on Saturday.
