New pictures released of Chinese Type 075 LHD Guangxi

According to a tweet published by louischeung_hk on November 25, 2021, the People's Liberation Army Navy's second Type 075 Landing Helicopter Dock Guangxi (32) arrived at a military port in the East China Sea. The ship is scheduled to enter service very soon. [...] The Type 075 landing helicopter dock (Yushen-class landing helicopter assault) is a class of Chinese amphibious assault ship under construction by the Hudong–Zhonghua Shipbuilding company for the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN).

It has a full-length flight deck for helicopter operations and features a floodable well deck from which to disembark hovercraft and armored amphibious assault vehicles. The LHD will have a displacement of 36,000 tons, a capacity of 30 helicopters, diesel engine with the 9,000 kW 16PC2-6B and four CIWS including two HHQ-10 and two H/PJ-11.

New sea trials for the third Chinese Type 075 LHD

According to a tweet published by 彩云香江 on December 15, 2021, People's Liberation Army Navy's third Type 075 Landing Helicopter Dock (Yushen-class landing helicopter assault) conducts new sea trials. The ship was commissioned into service in April 2021. [...]

The LHD has a length of 237 m (778 ft), a beam of 36 m (118 ft), an estimated displacement of 30,000 to 40,000 tons, and a capacity of 30 helicopters.

China's second Type 075 Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) (NATO reporting name: Yushen-class LHA) was commissioned this week (likely today) with the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy)'s East Sea Fleet. The vessel is named after Guangxi (广西), an autonomous region located in South China and bordering Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin. [...] The vessel was launched in September 2019 and started sea trials in August 2020 . Guangxi (32) was launched in April 2020 and started its sea trials in December 2020. The third Type 075 was launched in January this year and started sea trials in November.

Bei Shanghai - benachbart der Werft, in der die Fujian (der erste Flachdeck-Katapult-Träger der PLAN) gerade für die ersten Werfterprobungen fertig gemacht wird - ist ein neues Kriegsschiff in Bau.
Sehr viele Indizien deuten auf einen militärischen Neubau ist. In den einschlägigen Foren gehen die meisten User davon aus, dass es sich um einen "leichten Träger" vom Typ 076 handeln soll, etwas größer als die bisherigen LHAs. und speziell für den Einsatz von Drohnen insbesondere bei amphibischen Operationen gedacht.

Neues chinesisches amphibisches Angriffsschiff fertiggestellt - über 250 m lang, vermutlich um die 45.000 bis 50.000 Tonnen schwer. Zwar soll das Schiff nur Helikopter führen, aber die Mitnahme von J-35 wird als möglich erachtet.

Es handelt sich bislang um das erste Schiff dieser Klasse (Typ 076), aber die Chinesen haben noch den Typ 075 (232 m, 35.000 bis 40.000 Tonnen), von dem sie bislang vier Einheiten gebaut haben und vermutlich zwei weitere bauen werden.

Chinese Type 076 Amphibious Assault Ship ‘Sichuan’ Starts Sea Trials In Shanghai

The Chinese Navy (PLAN) Type 076 amphibious assault ship Sichuan (51) has commenced her first sea trial earlier today in Shanghai. The large new amphibious carrier of a globally unique design features an electromagnetic catapult for launching fixed wing drones. [...]

The new amphibious assault carrier measures in at an overall length of 252 metres and a beam across the flight deck of 45 metres. With these dimensions Type 076-carrier Sichuan is among the largest amphibious assault vessel-designs in the world. The ship features a welldock with the typical stern access for LCU- or LCAC-type transports, or amphibious vehicles. The flightdeck uses two side-mounted elevators for moving aircraft to the hangar below, a first for a Chinese amphibious design.

With an estimated displacement around 45,000 tons the vessel roughly matches the America-class LHD in service with the US Navy and surpasses the French nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. Official Chinese media reported her displacement at “over 40,000 tons” back in December 2024, when Hudong launched the ship from the builders drydock.

hier gibt es ein Video - das Schiff ist aber erst gestern zu seiner ersten Seeerprobung (Werfterprobung) ausgelaufen, d.h. bis zur Indienststellung dürfte noch fast ein Jahr vergehen
