Zitat:Ukraine modernises T-64BVK

Kharkiv Armoured Plant has developed an upgrade package for Ukraine's T-64BVK, a command variant of the T-64 main battle tank (MBT), which has successfully completed an initial round of tests, state-owned conglomerate Ukroboronprom (UOP) announced on its website on 30 November. [...] The T-64BVK has received a thermal imager, a satellite navigation system, and new optics for the commander providing a detection range of 2,000 m. The vehicle has also received a new radio system, intercom, and driver's rear-view camera under the upgrade.

The commander's cupola is fitted with a protected mount for an NSV 12.7×108 mm heavy machine gun, UOP said. Additional improvements include a new fuel filter, enhanced protection for the fuel tanks, and composite rubber-metal screens added to the sides of the tank.

https://twitter.com/rybar_en/status/1576977551871705107

Zitat:Leopard 2A4 Main Battle Tanks with new armor in Service with Ukrainian Army

According to a tweet by OSINTtechnical on July 15, 2023, Ukrainian forces from the 33rd Mechanized Brigade were seen operating a Leopard 2A4 tank fitted with Kontakt-1 Explosive Reactive Armor (ERA). Let's take a closer look at the capabilities of these two components. [...] The Explosive Reactive Armor is a crucial defense mechanism that mitigates the impact of anti-tank weapons, providing an extra layer of protection for the crew and critical components of the tank, they come to reinforce a weak point of the leopard 2A4.

According to our latest information, Ukraine has received 47 Leopard 2A4 tanks.

Zitat:Ukraine Strikes Back: Introducing the BMPT-62 Bold Answer to Russia's BMPT Terminator!

In the midst of the ongoing conflict, Ukraine has unveiled its answer to Russia's renowned BMPT Terminator: the BMPT-62, consisting of a Soviet-made T-62 tank chassis fitted with a BMP-2 IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) turret. This armored fighting vehicle, distinct from traditional tanks, stands as a testament to Ukrainian ingenuity and adaptability. Here's an in-depth look into this unique combat vehicle. [...]

The BMP-2 turret, which has been mounted on the BMPT-62, is a significant component that enhances the vehicle's combat capabilities. [...] Equipped with a BMP-2 turret, the BMPT-62 is likely armed with a 30mm autocannon and an anti-tank guided missile launcher, making it a formidable force against infantry threats.

The BMP-2 turret is designed for a two-man crew and is primarily armed with a stabilized 30 mm cannon, known as the 2A42. This automatic cannon is versatile, capable of engaging both ground and aerial targets. Alongside the main armament, the turret houses a 7.62 mm PKT coaxial machine gun, positioned to the left of the 2A42 cannon. This machine gun provides additional firepower, especially against infantry and unarmored targets. The turret is equipped with 2,000 rounds for the machine gun.

Zitat:Ukraine starts mass production of 2S22 Bohdana 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzer

On September 12, 2023, Kyiv announced the mass production of the Ukrainian-developed 155mm wheeled self-propelled howitzer, 2S22 Bohdana, in multiple configurations. Vladislav Belbas, the CEO of the company "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles," made this announcement. [...]

It had previously been reported that one version of the Bohdana is based on the MAZ-6317 chassis, while the other uses the Tatra T815-7. The original version was based on the "KrAZ" chassis. The "Bogdana" self-propelled howitzer is already being delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and is actively participating in combat operations, as previously reported on Army Recognition on September 4th. Although the exact number of units produced remains confidential, it is emphasized that production is set to increase. [...]

The primary armament of the 2S22 Bohdana consists of a single 155mm NATO standard cannon located at the rear of the truck chassis. This cannon is capable of firing High-explosive incendiary/armor-piercing ammunition (HEIAP) with a range of 35 to 40 km, as well as Rocket-assisted projectiles (RAP) with an extended range of 45 to 60 km. It can achieve a maximum rate of fire of 6 rounds per minute, with the truck capable of carrying a total of 20 rounds of ammunition, along with associated charges stored in containers located on each side of the truck chassis.
