Day/Night-capable MERKÜT FPV, developed by TİTRA’s subsidiary SAVX, has entered the inventory of the Turkish security forces and the serial production stage.

Anadolu Agency News reported that MERKÜT is being introduced to the personnel alongside the launch of serial production. The FPV kamikaze UAV was first introduced in anti-personnel configuration with a warhead featuring an adjustable proximity fuse and optimised fragment dispersion.

SAVX Introduces KORGAN-M Multi-Function UAV Station TurDef
SAVX has unveiled the KORGAN-M multi-function UAV station intended for small-sized multicopter UAVs to perform functions such as storage and mission planning.

KORGAN-M station will allow remote deployment and operation planning of UAVs with concealed storage capabilities. In addition to standard features for similar systems, KORGAN-M is integrated with TİTRA’s SEYYAH visual navigation system to ensure GNSS-independent operation. KORGAN-M can process the feed from connected UAVs with AI support to provide refined information.

The system can be used at extreme distances from the field, with provision for internet or closed network-based connection, reinforced by autonomous operation.

SAVX, a subsidiary of TİTRA, has also developed the MERKÜT FPV UAV, which has recently entered the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces.

STM Completes ALPAGU Loitering Munitions’ Domestic Delivery TurDef
STM announced that it has completed the domestic deliveries of the tube-launched ALPAGU fixed-wing loitering munition, which a single infantryman can operate.

STM, announcing the completion of ALPAGU’s deliveries, did not disclose the number of loitering munitions delivered. Alongside the KARGU family of quadcopter kamikaze UAVs, ALPAGU serves as the compact and fast option.

In addition to domestic use, ALPAGU has been exported to an unknown customer with the first batch delivered towards the end of 2023.

The one-man-portable ALPAGU is capable of engaging stationary and moving targets using a fixed EO/IR seeker. The loitering munition with a range of eight kilometres can fly for 15 minutes at a speed of 72 km/h.

Whereas ALPAGU is the man-portable solution, STM and ROKETSAN have developed the considerably larger ALPAGUT, which was tested from AKINCI UCAV this year. The multi-platform ALPAGUT with a 11 kg warhead and 60+ minutes of endurance can reach a range of 60+ km.

STM’s new VTOL UAV combines the general ISR capabilities of similar UAVs with lightweight unguided munitions and STM’s smart effectors. The technical specifications of the new UAV were shared on social media by the firm.

The UAV has an endurance of two hours with a range of 30 km and 10 kg of payload capacity. The UAV can operate from naval platforms in addition to ground-based use.

Following the tests of ŞİMŞEK UAV and the RATO-capable ŞİMŞEK-K UAV in kamikaze configuration, TUSAŞ appears to be working on a dedicated design for use as a kamikaze UAV. The name for the upcoming kamikaze UAV AYAZ was spotted on the website of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, which is an entity of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Considering the limited flight time of the ŞİMŞEK family of multi-purpose UAVs, primarily meant to act as targets or decoys, AYAZ might bring a longer range and a larger warhead. For reference, ŞİMŞEK-K can reach a range of 150 km (Datalinked) or 500 km (Fire and Forget); with a payload capacity of 18 kg when used as a kamikaze UAV.

Turkish UAV manufacturer SKYDAGGER has tested the Skydagger 7 FPV UAV with a drop from Baykar’s KALKAN VTOL UAV and the new TOYCA-05 fixed-wing kamikaze UAV.

Skydagger shared the test footages of its two kamikaze UAVs consecutively on social media. Skydagger 7 FPV dropped from KALKAN VTOL UAV and TOYCA-05 launched with a catapult.

The test with Skydagger 7 marks the first time KALKAN was fitted with armament. KALKAN was originally developed for ISR operations without the use of runways or catapults. The lightweight build of most FPV UAVs has led to lightweight UAVs like KALKAN gaining armament provisions, which previously had zero options for guided weaponry.

Skydagger’s FPV family is available in 7”, 10”, and 15” variants, which have different payload capacities (two, three, and five kilograms, respectively).

After the BOYGA munition-dropping quadcopter UAV’s introduction, STM unveiled BOYGA-B in hexacopter configuration, capable of carrying larger munition payloads.

BOYGA-B, as a follow-up to BOYGA, currently in use by the Turkish Army, has a configuration with more total engine power thanks to the hexacopter configuration, allowing for increased weapons payload and new options for munitions.

Whereas the baseline BOYGA can carry only one MKE MOD-132 81 mm mortar round specialised for dropping from UAVs, BOYGA-B can carry two. MOD-132 munition weighing two kilograms carries 1300 5 mm steel balls with an impact fuse.

TİTRA announced a new deal with SSB for the procurement of kamikaze UAVs with a value of $2 million. Previously, another deal with SSB was signed for the DUMRUL armed mini RUAV. No details on the type of kamikaze UAVs to be procured were given.

Co-Founder Muhammed Selman Dönmez made the following statement regarding the acquisition:

“This deal with SSB is extremely valuable for us at TİTRA, as it demonstrates the real-world impact of the systems we have developed with domestic and national resources. It is a great source of pride for us that the kamikaze UAVs we have developed entirely with local capabilities contribute to Turkey’s defence.”

The new test video for TOYCA-05 kamikaze UAV shows guidance and warhead demonstrations. SKYDAGGER’s fixed-wing kamikaze UAV with a five-kilogram HE-FRAG warhead demonstrated its LIDAR proximity fuse against a vehicle in the test.

The test video also shows target tracking and autonomous dive at a 45-degree angle.

An interesting detail from the test is the way that the warhead is mounted. Instead of using a specific fitting, TOYCA-05 has a cargo bay-like housing for the warhead to allow modularity, which can allow for alternative payloads.

SKYDAGGER unveiled TOYCA-05 as a long-range option in its kamikaze UAV portfolio towards the end of 2025. The kamikaze UAV, adopting a flying tailless delta wing configuration, is fitted with TV and IR cameras for operation in both day and night conditions.

TOYCA-05 can reach a range of 70 km and operate in swarms with mesh communication. Depending on the need, FPV and autonomous modes are available for control.

SKYDAGGER shared a video for the HUNTER (AVCI) interceptor UAV, which includes integration with ASELSAN’s in-service AURA 100-G (ARDA) UAV detection radar.

SKYDAGGER’s new video for the HUNTER interceptor UAV that was recently tested includes a part showing ASELSAN’s AURA 100-G UAV detection radar and feed for midcourse guidance.

Making use of the interceptor UAVs’ maximum range that extends beyond most short-range systems requires a ground-based radar that can track multiple targets at longer distances. At the same time, optics are better suited for target identification and terminal homing.

AURA 100-G used in the test has been introduced for different applications, including standalone use, searching radar for İHTAR C-UAS jammer as well as GÖKBERK laser weapon (Recently replaced by AURA 200-G AESA radar). The Ku-band radar with an instrumented range of 7.5 km has an adjustable antenna elevation between -24 degrees and +24 degrees and a 30 RPM rotational speed.

HUNTER, carrying a 500 gr warhead, can reach a maximum speed of 320 km/h and a range of 20 km. For terminal guidance, HUNTER is fitted with a dual TV+IR camera. First of its type to be produced in Turkiye, HUNTER was tested towards the end of March 2026.

STM’s New Long-Range Kamikaze UAV Makes Maiden Flight
STM shared the first flight test video of its new long-range kamikaze UAV, which was previously shown in its rendering for upcoming unmanned platforms.

After the man-portable ALPAGU and the multi-platform ALPAGUT, STM has introduced a long-range kamikaze UAV identical to the Shaheed line in terms of platform. The new kamikaze UAV was shown alongside other new types such as anti-radiation fixed wing and interceptor UAV.

The social media post did not disclose specifications due to being a teaser. However, a range spanning hundreds of kilometres can be expected.

Additionally, a black part is seen at the nose section, which suggests the presence of an optical seeker for terminal guidance.

While the kamikaze UAV is externally not so different from the commonly used Shaheeds, the internal workings are more than likely to incorporate the capabilities that STM has developed over the years. These might include swarm capabilities demonstrated by KARGU rotary-wing kamikaze UAV and KERKES GNSS-independent navigation system.
