A child was killed and several other passengers injured when a plane made a hard landing and caught fire at Tehran airport, Iranian state media reported.
According to local TV the plane skidded off the runway and into a river.
The boy died throwing himself into the river in an effort to escape from the flames, the Irna news agency said.
There were 157 people on board the Boeing 707, which was operated by Saha Airlines, a commercial service owned by the Iranian military.
The emergency exit slides failed to open, forcing passengers to jump from the aircraft to escape, Irna reported.
