CENK Ballistic Missile was Shown to The Public for the First Time
PreviousNext
The CENK Ballistic Missile was shown to the public for the first time. Developed by ROKETSAN, the CENK Missile will be Turkey's first medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM). ROKETSAN, which has been conducting significant work in the field of ballistic missiles, recently introduced the TAYFUN Ballistic Missile with a range of over 550 kilometers. Following the TAYFUN Short-Range Ballistic Missile (SRBM), ROKETSAN is now developing the CENK Missile. It is expected that the CENK Missile, Turkey's first Medium-Range Ballistic Missile (MRBM), will have a range of over 1000 kilometers. The first test launch of the CENK Ballistic Missile is expected to take place in the near future.

Zitat:Türkiye Is Improving Its Ballistic Missiles

Via Roketsan.
The country’s leading manufacturer of precision weapons and ordnance unveiled a trailer for its latest achievement: a short-range ballistic missile that was test fired from an airport runway along the Black Sea coast. The new Tayfun, loaded inside two rectangular containers on an 8×8 transporter, is an evolution of the Bora missile that helped Türkiye wean itself from expensive Western tactical missiles. The effort has so far been an unprecedented success within the limits of nuclear-capable arms treaties. On its own Roketsan offers an impressive catalogue of rocket artillery and tactical missiles with varied launch systems. The key difference with the Tayfun is its flight characteristics skirt the limits of what’s considered “short-range” as Turkish media reported it flew beyond 500 kilometers during its first publicized test in October 2022. The distance covered by its second test in May 2023 was undisclosed
