Die dem pakistanischen Sicherheitsapparat nahestehenden Taliban scheinen nach ihrer eigenen Aussage keine Hürde mehr für eine Annäherung beider Staaten darzustellen. Das hätte sicherlich Implikationen für Afghanistan, da der Iran und Pakistan die einflussreichsten Länder in Afghanistan sind und in der Vergangenheit höchst konträrere Interessen verfolgten.

The Taliban has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of a recent visit of its delegates to Iran, Press TV reports.
In a Thursday report, the Taliban described the visit as an important political achievement for the group.
The visit dealt a severe blow to the US and its puppets in Kabul, the group pointed out.

It also denounced efforts to create rift among Shias and Sunnis, noting that such a division, which is favored by Israel and the West, among the Islamic sects, will inflict irreparable damage on the Muslim world.
