Two UK troopers killed in Afghan province of Helmand

Two UK troopers, including a female soldier, have been killed in the southern province of Helmand in Afghanistan, officials say.

“A British Royal marine and a British (female) soldier died from wounds they received during a patrol in NahreSaraj district in Helmand,” said spokesman for the NATO-led military alliance, Hagen Messers, on Thursday.

Two British soldiers were also killed in separate incidents in southern Afghanistan on September 21.
