Upon completion of bilateral exercise with the Russian Pacific Fleet, only destroyers WUHAN and LANZHOU returned to home port Qingdao. The other five ships (destroyers SHENYANG and SHIJIAZHUANG, frigates YANTAI and YANCHENG, support ship HONGZE HU) sailed through the Soya Strait into Western Pacific for “open-sea training during the homeward voyage”.
