FRES Future Rapid Effect System and CVRT Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked

The FRES (Future Rapid Effect System) programme will produce a suite of vehicles many of which will replace CVRT (Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked) variants. In some roles CVRT could be replaced by FCLV variants where lower levels of protection are required but no loss of mobility and mine protection. Where CVRT currently relate to the armoured manoeuvre forces they will be replaced by specifically designed FRES programme vehicles. FRES variants will have the cross country mobility and protection required on the high intensity battlefield.
