Annan hat sich ner anderen Meldung hin schonmal gegen die Todesstrafe ausgesprochen - naja hoffentlich wird die UN in diesem Fall wieder aussen vor gelassen. Sollen die Irakis ihn aburteilen - so wird er gehaengt oder sonstwie hingerichtet und die Amis muessen sich kein Gejammer anhoeren wie unmenschlich dies doch sei.

Saddam on trial

As the United States prepares to put Saddam Hussein on trial, it may find it useful to examine Israel's experience in bringing a notorious war criminal to court.

In May 1960, Israeli agents captured Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in Argentina and flew him to Israel to face trial for his senior role in the genocide of six million European Jews. Israel immediately faced a torrent of international criticism.

Da wird versucht die heutige Situation mit der Gefangennahme von Adolf Eichmann zu vergleichen - war etwas irritiert und leicht schockiert als ich las wie gross der weltweite Widerstand war den es damals gab als es zum Prozess gegen Eichmann kam. Naja als die Israelis den irakischen Reaktor in Schutt und Asche gelegt haben kam es auch zu einem Aufschrei.... total verrueckte Welt...
