LONDON, September 1 (IranMania) - An Iranian airliner caught fire on landing in the northeastern city of Mashhad Friday, killing at least 80 passengers, Iran's state television reported.
The Russian-made Tupolev, which was on an internal flight from the southern port city of Bandar Abbas, suffered a tyre burst on landing and swerved off the runway before hitting nearby barriers and bursting into flames, the television said, according to an AFP report.
