In the first incident, a reserve paratrooper was killed and 10 of his comrades were wounded by friendly fire from a tank in Taiba village on the eastern front. At noon, a Merkava tank was blown up by a Hizballah anti-tank missile at Ayta a Chaab in the west. All four of its crew, reservists, were killed on the spot. Half an hour later, 2 anti-tank rockets killed 9 members of Paratroop Brigade engineering unit in Debel village west of Bint Jubeil. Three men were seriously hurt. Two died on the way to hospital.
