My "investigations" show:
1991 contract between RUS/IRN about T72-license (1,000 kits)
1994 >200 T-72 S or M1 from RUS
1994 100 T-72 M from PL
1996 2 T-72 S or M1 from RUS
July 8, 1997 inauguration of a russian-built T-72-Factory in Dorud(Lorestan)
1998 100 T-72-*kits* from RUS

Since then there are no reports about any shipment of T-72 tanks or kits.
So what happened to the iranian T-72 program? Did the US pressure Russia to stop the export of more kits? Maybe in the framework of the Gore-Chernomyrdin agreement? Did Iran maybe stop the imports in favour of the Zolfaghar? Whwat would be a realistic estimate of T-72 tanks, if the production didn't stop after 1998 (production rate)?
...and there is the same mystery with the BMP's
