Iran Bombards Kurdish Positions in Iraq

Reportedly, Iranian soldiers bombarded Kurdish guerillas positions in Northern Iraq.

An official from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Saadi Pira, said, “This morning Iranian Kurdish fighters infiltrated the border into the Iranian side and the Iranian army bombed the area and repelled them."

No statement has been released about casualties in the bombardment.

RUSSIA DELAYS SAM DELIVERY TO IRAN


MOSCOW [MENL] -- Under heavy U.S. pressure, Russia has delayed delivery of an anti-aircraft system to Iran.

Russian sources said President Vladimir Putin has delayed delivery of the TOR-M1 anti-aircraft system to Iran. The sources said Putin has been under heavy U.S. pressure to suspend the $700 million contract.
