TURKEY REPORTS DEFENSE PRODUCTION


ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey has asserted that its defense industry met most of the nation's army requirements.

Turkish Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul told parliament that the defense industry produces most of the requirements set by the Land Forces Command. In an address on Dec. 20, Gonul said the defense industry produces everything from assault rifles to missiles for the army.
