Zitat:Turkey, U.S. Will Cooperate Against WMDs
By BURAK EGE BEKDIL, ANKARA
Turkey and the United States have agreed to work together to help prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), a Turkish official said.
An agreement signed June 14 calls for tighter border security and controls of exports to limit the spread of materials and technology that could be used to produce missiles or other WMDs, officials here said.
Under the deal, the United States will provide Turkey with “technical equipment and expertise to help identify materials with dual usage that contain sensitive technology,” a Turkish diplomat said.
