Tehran, Jan 24 - An official of Iran giant auto-manufacturer the Iran-Khodro industrial group said here Sunday that the company will introduce three new samand models to the Iranian market by March.
The company's head of center for design and development Payam Nasseri added that one of the models will be a modern vehicle and primary geared for household use.
Another model will be designed such that customers are able to chose their preferred options, he added.
A cheaper version of the model will be used mainly as taxies.
He added that Iran-Khodro will continue with its expansion plans for manufacturing new models using modern and up-to-date standards to compete in international markets.
Ethiopia, Tanzania and Mozambique use samand as one of the vehicles for their formal functions.
"These countries have expressed interest in importing the model via Dubai," he added.
