Was anderes worin Iran den Weltrekord hat , ist , dass es im Iran mehr Mullahs gibt , als in irgend ein anderes islamisches Land.

Jo und vor allem gibt es dort die wenigsten Shah-Anhänger (komisch ?! :misstrauisch: ). Und das finde ich am aller wichtigsten. Aber lassen wir das

Warum der Iran so beliebt bei den bewohnern einiger afrikanischer Staaten ist, liegt daran, daß viele in den Iranern einen großen Erzfeind des modernen Kolonialismus sehen. Und das Thema ist dort weiterhin schwer in Mode.

Khatami ist sich dessen bei seiner Afrikareise durchaus bewusst. Ausschnitt aus einer Rede in Nigeria :

Turning to the issue of colonialism, which President Khatami said, "the word has always accompanied Africa` name", he said, "During the past century Africa prospered in its struggle against colonialism." He called the past century, "The country of Africa`s uprising gainst injustice, the century of epic emancipation of Africa."

President Khatami also referred to the broad potentials for development in Africa, and that Iran would be on the Africans` side in their campaign for comprehensive development and for shedding off the undesirable dust of colonialism from Africa`s beautiful face. President Khatami referred to the advancement achieved in Iran, thanks to the victory of the Islamic Revolution, led by its late great architect, Imam Khomeini (PBUH), stressing, "You and us share a lot in common, and we are ready to share with you also our experience in moving towards becoming an advanced pole in industrial and scientific fields, and in our shared move towards global peace and stability, free from all sorts of injustice, oppression, and threats."
