LONDON, Jan 10 (IranMania) - Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Ahmad Motamedi disapproved of the judiciary's latest move to limit access to Internet by obligating hotline owners to put firewalls or proxy servers to block certain sites, IRNA reported.

Meanwhile, ISNA reported that members of the political bureau of Office to Consolidate Unity also criticized the judiciary's move, Head of the OCU's Information Center Saeed Shariati termed the judicial action as "illegal and unilateral".
OCU members called for the prompt action of officials to lift restrictions on the free flow of information, especially before the June 2005 presidential election.
