Iran tobecome `No. 1 regional power` in next 20 years: Rezaei
Ahvaz, Khuzestan prov, Nov 27, IRNA -- Iran will turn to the most
powerful country in the region in the next 20 years, secretary of a
top arbitrative body, Mohsen Rezaei has said, outlining an ambitious
plan which the Islamic Republic has sketched out for its development.
"According to this plan, Iran`s per capita income will increase
several folds, as will people`s buying power," he told residents at
a local mosque in this southern Iranian city Friday night.
"No poor Iranian will be found anymore under the 20-year
development plan in which indices of health, education, research and
production will reach international standards," Rezaei said.
The official did not say how such a state of progress would
translate into reality, but acknowledged that this would require
bringing a major overhaul into the country`s overall system.
The official, secretary of the Expediency Council which is
headed by former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, stressed the
need for solidarity and harmony between the people and state
officials.
"Without this concord, we will not achieve our objectives,"
Rezaei said.

Iranians' per capita income will rise

Ahvaz, Iran, Nov 27 - During the plan of "20 years future prospects of Iran ", the per capita income of the Iranian nationals and purchasing power will rise 50 percent, secretary of the Expediency Council said, Saturday.

Mohsen Rezaie addressing the conference of "20 Years future prospects of Iran" added that during the plan, Iran will change into the first power of the region by promoting scientific researches.

"Advanced Iran is the desire of all Iranians to live in, so we should try to deepen cooperation with the officials to pave the way of development" he said.
