Re-inventing the Red Berets | 12:45 -> 23:20 November 11 | B92

BELGRADE -- Thursday – Serbia’s Ministry of the Interior has announced the formation of a new anti-terrorist unit which will unite the existing Counterterrorist Gendarmerie and the Special Antiterrorist Unit.

The ministry’s head of Public Security, Miroslav Milosevic, said last night that the new unit will consist of the best members of the two existing units and will be a completely new unit.

However a source close to the ministry told B92 that the two units were being united with the single aim of using the war against terrorism as an excuse to bring the former members of the “Red Berets” back together in one unit.
