Jordanian Air Force Jet Crashes, Pilot Killed

A Jordanian F-5 air force plane crashed Nov. 8 during a routine training mission killing its pilot, state-run Petra news agency reported early Nov. 9 quoting an armed forces spokesman.

"An F5 plane belonging to the Jordanian air forces crashed [Nov. 8] while it was on a routine training mission and its pilot, Second Lieutenant Omar Ali Mahmud Bani Melhel was killed," the spokesman said.

Malaysian Air Force Jet Crashes, Pilot Missing

Rescue workers were searching for the pilot of a Royal Malaysian Air Force fighter jet after it crashed in northern Pahang state during a training exercise Nov. 9, an air force spokesman said.

The pilot of the MiG-29 fighter jet was believed to have ejected safely after it crashed at an oil palm plantation, the spokesman told Agence France-Presse.
