Tehran, Sept 29 - Iran's aviation industries has scored considerable achievements, emerging as the forerunner in Iran's aviation industry in the post-1979 Islamic Revolution period.
Expressing this view, Managing Director of Iran's aviation industries brigadier General Ali-Mohammad Naderi said in a press briefing on his organization's post-revolution achievements that it had produced more than 1,600 planes, 2,182 plane engines, 1,75 1 helicopter engines, 149 industrial jet engines, in addition to repairing more than 11 models of planes and 18 models of military, commercial and industrial planes' engines.
Naderi said his organization used to repair three different models of F4, C130 and F5 planes before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Furthermore, Naderi said Iran's aviation industries has been successful in reducing bureaucracy, upgrading knowledge and experience of its personnel, updating its equipment and facilities, attaining self-sufficiency and raising exports.
