Rosoboronexport State Corporation at Africa Aerospace and Defence’2004 Exhibition

One of the key points of the Rosoboronexport Corporation marketing strategy is the extension of the volumes diversity and geography in defence sales to the African nations. Since 2002 there have been positive changes in military-technical cooperation between Russia and the African states. There has been a noticeable activation in relationship between Russia and its traditional partners: Angola, Ethiopia, Sudan, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Nigeria and Uganda.

As the Russian aviation equipment delivered to the African nations requires repair, overhaul and modification, Rosoboronexport has been offering various upgrade packages. First of all, the Corporation has proposed attractive offers what regards competitive proposals on the anti-submarine airborne weaponry, aviation self-protection systems against surface-to-air missiles.

Rosoboronexport invites its African partners to joint hands in establishing of the joint regional maintenance and service centers, for example aviation overhaul factories in Algeria, Libya, RSA and Ethiopia, as well as Africa-based Mil-family helicopter service centers.
