Zitat:Dutch Jets Leave for Afghanistan
The first part of a supplementary air force contingent has left for Afghanistan today. It consists of some 185 troops, six F16 fighter jets and a tanker plane.
The contingent is to be operational at its base in neighboring Kirghizia by next week.
The presence of the jets is to contribute to a calm atmosphere during the elections. The contingent’s eight-week mission can be extended by several weeks should a second round in the elections become necessary.
