Damascus, May 20, IRNA -- Deputy Managing Director of Iran`s SAIPA
car manufacturing company Abdulvahhab Shariati said here on Wednesday
that an agreement for producing Pride car in Syria worth $45 million
has been signed between his affiliated company and a private Syrian
firm `Hamish`.
Already, another Iranian car manufacturer, `Iran Khodro`, has
signed a letter of understanding for the setting up of a factory
to assemble an all-Iranian car, `Samand`, in Syria with two firms
known as `Al-Hendesiah`(belonging to Syrian Industries Ministry) and
`As-Sultan` a private company). The primary investment on the project
is $70 million.
