DeltaV hat erfolgreich eine Hybridrakete mit einer zweiten Stufe die über ein Staustrahlraketenantrieb verfügt getestet. Nach dem abrennen der ersten Stufe und der Trennung hat das Ramjet Triebwerk erfolgreich gezündet. Es ist damit das dritte Ramjet Projekt der türkischen Rüstungsindustrie neben der Gökhan BVR Rakete, der Gökbora BVR Raketen und der einer mit Ramjet angetriebenen Anti - Schiffs Rakete. Es wäre auch denkbar das DeltaV an einem ähnlichen Konzept wie der PrSM arbeitet um stationäre oder bewegliche Ziele auf großen Entfernungen angreiefen zu können. Ein solches Konzept würde die Bekämpfung kritischer Ziele in einer wesentlich kürzeren Zeitspanne ermöglichen als Marschflugkörper die Unterschall Geschwindigkeit fliegen.

DeltaV’s Ramjet Test Platform Achieves Ignition at Flight TurDef
DeltaV, recently having tested a series of platforms for hybrid rockets, launched its ramjet test platform at Sinop, achieving ignition at flight conditions.
Not long after the tests of various test platforms using hybrid fuel rockets at Sinop, DeltaV tested a ramjet test platform that achieved ignition following the boost phase in real flight conditions.
DeltaV General Manager Mehmet Kahraman made the following statement:
“Ramjet engine, which was an internal project, and its ignition in the air under real conditions was carried out at the Sinop Test Centre. Data collected from the system showed that the engine ignition occurred.”
The test platform is seen to use a conical shock intake located at the nose, which is used in some of the ramjet-powered platforms (Let it be an aircraft or a missile), such as the SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft and the P800 Oniks anti-ship missile.
Conical shock intakes not only direct the airflow towards the engine but also compress the air significantly. Unlike turbojets or turbofans, ramjets without any moving parts use shockwave compression at intake instead of using a compressor.
With the test’s announcement, DeltaV has officially become the third known firm to work on ramjets and related platforms in Turkiye, with the others being TÜBİTAK SAGE (GÖKHAN BVRAAM and Supersonic Anti-Ship Missile Programme - Liquid Fuel Ramjet) and ROKETSAN (GÖKBORA BVRAAM - Solid Fuel Ramjet).
