Belgium's first Griffon armoured vehicle rolled out

Belgium's first Griffon 6×6 Véhicule Blindé Multi-Rôle (VBMR) heavy multirole armoured vehicle was rolled out at local company Mol in Staden, West Flanders, on 15 July. Belgian Minister of Defence and Foreign Trade Theo Francken said at a press conference at Mol that the first vehicles would be delivered to their units by the end of 2025, replacing Dingo armoured vehicles.

After pre-assembly in France, Mol installs equipment, finishes the vehicles, tests them, and applies a final coat of paint. Mol is assembling 380 Griffons from 2025 to 2031, with the capacity to produce 10 vehicles per month.
