Afghan outlet Khaama Press reports the Taliban has handed control of Bagram Air Base back to the U.S., with multiple C-17s reportedly landing last week carrying intel officials and military equipment.

Among the arrivals: the Deputy Director of the CIA.

Trump recently said the U.S. intends to return to Afghanistan to counter China’s growing influence, calling Bagram:

“One hour from where China makes its nuclear missiles.”
