The F-35 does log flight profiles and flight performance which is auto loaded into ALIS, the F-35’s maintenance data system, which the manufacturer, Lockheed, has access to. That’s not “spying.” This data is used to perform predictive maintenance analysis so the right parts and the right number of parts are available when and where they are needed, just before the need arises. Your smart phone does the same thing and auto loads that information to your phone’s manufacturer, which is used to do product improvement. It’s not spying, but lots of folks resent this data being generated and sent to the manufacturer.

As for the Mission Data Files (MDF), that’s entirely different and totally unrelated. Mission Data Files are basically threat libraries that are loaded into the F-35’s memory. Remember, the F-35 is an RF vacuum cleaner, it sucks up all sorts of electronic signals. The MDF are used to determine if those signals it picks up are threats and if so what kind of threat so it can give the pilot appropriate warnings. But inevitably the airplane picks up signals it cannot identify. In that event it logs the signal and its various parameters (along with geolocation data) and stores them for download and analysis. These files are very sensitive and they are NOT auto loaded into any Lockheed system. The MDF files are generated, maintained, and owned by the government, not Lockheed.
Verlässliche Quellen gibt es dazu nicht.
"Nearly 20 years after the first flight of the F-35A variant, much about the Joint Strike Fighter’s capabilities, especially when it comes to the aircraft sensors and electronic warfare suite, as well as its ability to fuse data from those systems and share it, remain highly classified."

Die Israelis verwenden gerne ihre eigene ELOKA. Ansonsten gibt es Abstufungen in der Partnerschaft.

In Sachen F35 sollten wir eine engere Zusammenarbeit anstreben aus rein egoistischen Gründen.
