Wenn es Israel darum ging, die Hisbollah "handlungsunfähig" zu machen, dann wurde dieses Ziel gründlich vergeigt.
Nach dem stellvertretende Hisbollah-Chef Kassem ist der Konflikt nun vielmehr in eine "offene Schlacht der Abrechnung" eingetreten.
Um es mit einem Kommentar der Tagesschau zu sagen: "Frieden gibt es nicht, wenn man um sich schlägt"

Aber der israelische Verteidigungsminister Yoav Gallant hat ja inzwischen zugegeben, dass das (die Handlungsunfähigkeit der Hisbollah) gar nicht das Ziel war - er hat vielmehr seine persönlichen Rachegelüste befriedigt (so berichtet jedenfalls der SPIEGEL unter Bezug auf dessen Erklärung auf "X")

The commanders of that terrorist ambush in Hezbollah were Ibrahim Akil and Ahmed Wahbi - yesterday, they were killed while they were engaged in the preparation of additional terrorist operations against the State of Israel - the circle is closed.

This is our commitment to the fallen and their loved ones, this is our commitment to the residents of the north and this is a clear message to all those who seek our help.
