AKINCI UCAV Fires New Members of MAM Munitions Family
Baykar’s AKINCI UCAV has fired the TV-guided MAM-L and IIR-guided MAM-T IIR of ROKETSAN’s MAM series of munitions. The test video shared by Baykar’s social media accounts shows a feed from seekers of both munitions. MAM-L TV and MAM-T IIR will feature Man-in-the-Loop (MITL) guidance, which offers resistance to deceptive countermeasures and enhanced precision, especially against moving targets. MAM-L TV appears to share the same airframe as the previously revealed MAM-L IIR. The reason for MAM-L TV’s development might be the higher costs of an IIR seeker of the same size. Thus, ROKETSAN is likely aiming for a cost-effective MITL option for MAM-L. Cost efficiency is a pivotal feature of MAM-L and is frequently used in counter-insurgency operations. As both munitions have MITL-based guidance and similar airframes, MAM-L TV will likely share the maximum range of 25+ km with MAM-L IIR.

SSB Discloses New Indigenous Engine Projects
Turkish President of the Defence Industry Agency (SSB) Haluk Görgün has shared a video showing the indigenous engine projects for various platforms. The video includes integrated engines in the development phase.
It has been revealed that Kale’s KTJ-3700 turbojet engine is integrated into ROKETSAN’s KARA ATMACA land-attack cruise missile. A derivative of the ATMACA anti-ship missile, KARA ATMACA is launched from a truck to hit enemy bases, air defence systems, and facilities. KARA ATMACA has a new guidance system for land-attack use with terrain-referenced navigation, unlike standard ATMACA. The missile also weighs more, with a range of 280 km and a warhead of 250 kg.

ROKETSAN’s KMC Weapon System Spotted on MARLIN USV
KMC weapon system, developed by ROKETSAN to launch tactical-grade missiles with laser or IIR guidance, has been spotted on MARLIN USV. The integration was spotted on an informative video shared by SSB about the indigenous engine programmes. During the part of BMC Power’s LEVENT diesel engine that powered the MARLIN USV, the USV was spotted with ROKETSAN’s KMC. This marks a new addition to the list of payloads that have been integrated into ASELSAN and SEFİNE’s USV. Other payloads include KUZGUN KY surface-to-surface missiles and AREAS-2NC electronic warfare system. KMC, mainly used on FNSS’s KAPLAN STA armoured weapons carrier, has been integrated on Ares Shipyards’ ULAQ and Dearsan’s SALVO 15 USVs. HAVELSAN’s SANCAR is also likely to obtain the system. The system can currently use CİRİT 70 mm laser-guided missiles and UMTAS ATGMs (Both variants). SUNGUR air defence missiles and the extended-range UMTAS-GM missiles are also being considered for the system.
