BARBAROS Class Frigates Mid-Life Upgrade (MLU) Project Update
The contract for the Mid-Life Upgrade (MLU) of four BARBAROS Class (MEKO 200 TN Track II-A/B) Frigates in the inventory of the Turkish Naval Forces Command (TNFC) was signed between SSB, and ASELSAN-HAVELSAN Business Partnership, which will replace the existing combat systems onboard the vessels, on April 3, 2018, and the contract became effective on August 9, 2018 (Tₒ started), System Requirements Features meeting was held during 5-6 February 2019 and the Critical Design Review (CDR) Phase was completed in 2020.
