Germany approves procurement of 227 All-Terrain Amphibious Armored Vehicles

According to information published by the German Government, Germany approved the procurement of 227 All-Terrain tracked amphibious armored vehicles in the framework for the Collaborative All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) program. [...] A joint acquisition by Sweden, Germany, and the United Kingdom will see the delivery of 436 BvS10 military vehicles, beginning in 2024. The distribution of these vehicles includes 236 BvS10s for the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV), 140 for the German Federal Ministry of Defence (BAAINBw), and 60 for the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD). These vehicles, based on the most recent BvS10 model utilized by Sweden, will offer a range of capabilities, such as troop transport, logistics, medical evacuation, recovery, and command and control. The first units are expected to be delivered from November 2025, with all vehicles scheduled for completion by 2030. The acquisition will be financed through a special fund for the German Army (Bundeswehr).
