The main task of ASW frigates is remote detection and engagement of submarines. This is done, among other things, with the ship’s own NH90 helicopter. Das Konzept scheint mir recht leistungsstark zu sein, ASW primär, aber mit ESSM Block 2 und Naval Strike Missile auch anderweitig gut aufgestellt, bei knapp 150 Metern Länge und 6.000 ts Einsatzverdrängung. Und das für knapp 1 Mrd. Euro je Schiff...
