Nordkorea feuert erneut Raketen Richtung Japan ab

»Das kann absolut nicht toleriert werden«: Schon zum zweiten Mal in dieser Woche hat das Regime in Pjöngjang ballistische Kurzstreckenraketen starten lassen. Derweil ringt der Uno-Sicherheitsrat um eine gemeinsame Haltung.

Ungeachtet starker Proteste hat Nordkorea seine Serie von Raketentests fortgesetzt. Das südkoreanische Militär teilte mit, Nordkorea habe am Donnerstag erneut zwei ballistische Kurzstreckenraketen in Richtung des Japanischen Meeres (koreanisch: Ostmeer) abgefeuert, wie die südkoreanische Nachrichtenagentur Yonhap berichtete . Die Geschosse seien bei der nordkoreanischen Hauptstadt Pjöngjang gestartet worden. Das eine sei bei einer maximalen Höhe von 80 Kilometern 350 Kilometer weit geflogen, das andere 800 Kilometer bei einer maximalen Höhe von 60 Kilometern.

Es blieb allerdings nicht alleine nur bei Raketenstarts:

Twelve North Korean warplanes flew in formation near the South Korean border in a simulation of an air-to-ground attack Thursday, prompting Seoul to scramble 30 fighter jets of its own.

The South Korean military says it detected eight fighter jets and four bombers in the North Korean formation. South Korea's flight of 30 warplanes did not engage the sortie, however, and only guarded the country's airspace. The flight is only the latest aggression to come from Kim Jong Un's regime, which has launched numerous ballistic missiles in recent weeks.

Und, wie im oberen Artikel erwähnt, bei einem gemeinsamen südkoreanisch-amerikanischen Manöver scheint wohl eine ATACMS beim Verladen explodiert zu sein, was bei Anwohnern die Befürchtung aufkommen ließ, dass der Norden angegriffen haben könnte.

The drills were conducted in response to North Korea launching a ballistic missile over Japan for the first time in five years. The US Army and the South Korean Armed Forces fired a similar barrage of missiles after a similarly provocative North Korean missile launch over Japan in 2017, including ATACMS and one Hyunmoo-2A missile respectively from a beachfront site. The ATACMS can carry a 500-pound warhead to targets approximately 186 miles away.
