According to information published by the "BaklkanInsight" website on September 22, 2022, last week during a visit to Israel, the Romanian Defence Minister Vasile Dîncu requested the purchase of the Israeli Iron Dome short-range air defense missile system. [...] Citing information from the Israeli media Haaretz, Romania would like to acquire defense technology from Israel and negotiate the possibility to obtain a license for the production of military equipment in Romania.
In the case of a contract with Israel, Romania will be the first European to acquire the Israeli-made Iron Dome.
