Iran has the first say in aerospace technology in the region
Tehran, Dec 22, IRNA -- Managing Director of Aerospace Industries
affiliated to the Ministry of Defense Ahmad Vahid said here on Monday
that today Iran has the first say in the aerospace technology across
the Middle East.
Addressing reporters, he added that despite the sanctions imposed
on the country, the development in the field since the middle of the
Sacred Defense Era is incomparable to that of other regional countries
having access to international facilities.
He declared that aerospace specialists and administrators will
gather for the first international aerospace conference in Tehran on
January 5-7.
"Over 450 essays from a total 1,500 have been selected for
presentation at the upcoming conference.
"An exhibition on the scientific, research and guild achievements
of the state and private sectors in the field is due to be held at
Tehran`s International Fairgrounds on January 4-8," he added.
Turning to the ratification of the law on establishment of
Aerospace Industries Organization by Majlis, he hoped that it will
soon be finalized by the Expediency Council.
The Aerospace Industries Organization, a former substructure of
the Defense Ministry, was formed in late 1998 at the initiative of the
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

- naja... :tard:
