Iran Blasts US for Repeated Violation of N. Deal

TEHRAN (FNA)- Secretary of Iran’s Human Rights Council Mohammad Javad Larijani rapped the US for not remaining loyal to its undertakings based on the July nuclear deal, and described Washington's seizure of Iranian assets as a theft in the daylight.

"The US seizure of Iran's assets was a blatant theft in violation of the international laws and the spirit of nuclear deal," Larijani told reporters in Tehran on Wednesday.

He referred to the contents of the nuclear deal, and said the agreement calls on both sides (Iran and the world powers, including the US) to avoid actions that lead to mistrust.

"Of course, this is not the first time that the Americans violate the nuclear deal and many other similar cases can be found," Larijani said, adding that while Iran has complied with its undertakings all at once, the westerners are moving to take reciprocal measures gradually, which he said is yet another instance of the violation of the deal by Washington.

In relevant remarks last month, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani lashed out at the US for its destructive approach towards implementing the July nuclear agreement, and called on the EU to monitor Washington's moves.

Ich habe es ja von vornherein gesagt. Die iranische Regierung hat sich klassisch über den Tisch ziehen lassen. Letztlich wird genau das die Hardliner und Militärs stärken, insofern scheint mir eine Revision des bisherigen Kurses zunehmend wahrscheinlicher.
