South Sea Fleet task group with destroyers WUHAN and HAIKOU and dock landing ship CHANGBAISHAN after patrols / naval presence mission in the South China Sea proceeded through the Strait of Malakka for short “exercises” (maritime security, search & rescue) in the Indian Ocean, then returned to South China Sea.
(rmks: deployed since 20 Jan, obviously using naval presence to underline territorial claims and strategic perspectives)
